Can I replace the lens myself?
My camera was smashed in a door and the lens won't open or close. Can I order that part and do the replacement myself?

kennyoverton, yes you can. Use these guides and this video to get it done. One day at a time, one screw at a time. Be organized and keep it neat so you do not lose any screws and keep those separate so you know where they go after etc.

Short answer is yes but there are many small components in a camera that can easily be broken or lost. And please be careful of the flash capacitor. As small as it may be, it can cause harm if you are not careful.
