Hi
Actually my pc was not booting up ,so I cleaned ram and it started .but next day it again not started i cleaned the ram and also thought of cleaning processor but now it doesn't starts.HDD activity light blinks once for a half second.no display no hdd activity,can't shut off with power button..PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

@kirpal start by checking the power supply. Since you did not give us more information about what make and model this is start with the generic testing shown here

My specs are
AMD A4 4000
RADEON 5450 2 GB GRAPGIC CARS
GIGABYTE MOTHERBOARD
CORSAIR VX650 PSU
CORSAIR VENGANANCE 4 GB RAM
@kirpal that is an ATX power supply so this should help in testing it.
Everything is fine but no hdd activity is there
even without a HDD you should still se the Spalshscreen of your computer or the POST screen.
But nothing.....Okay, so I found out something interesting today that seems to indicate that the CPU is the issue here. I tried something I hadn't tried yet and took out the CPU and turned on the computer. Everything powered up, fans began spinning and all. Normally, I wouldn't be able to turn it off by holding down the power button. This time, I held down the power button and the computer turned off. I tried again to see if it was a fluke and it turned off again. I plugged the CPU back in to see if the whole computer was just miraculously working again, but no, holding the power button would not turn it off. Would this be a clear indicator that the CPU has failed and is the root of the problem?
