How to differentiate generations
A friend gave me 2 ipod touch 2nd generation but I'm not sure.
After dropping in swimming pool they don't work. Then they were dried with rice.

Fernando, regardless of what generations they are, I would not try anything else right now. I suggest you disassemble the iPod's using these guides. clean them properly, The Rice is a great first aid but does not fix them. Use this guide for that. It was written for a iPhone 3G but all the points stil apply to your iPod's as well. After you clean them replace the battery and reevaluate for any damage.
