As we all know, dropping your phone is going to happen, period. My screen is cracked due to a drop. Still functional, but annoying.

Minha Solução

Ordered my part from iFixit, arrived in less than 5 days. Followed the easy directions for the tear-down. Everything was fine, assembly was just as easy. Power up, touch screen doesn't work as I cannot enter my unlock code. Maybe I missed something, cable not seated correctly, tear-down again. Reassemble.....nope. Forced a power down since the "swipe" feature also didn't work to power off. Waited a few seconds and powered back on. Touchscreen still unresponsive. Called up iFixit, explained the issue and troubleshooting steps taken, they immediately re-issued another replacement. Two days later, start the repair again....SUCCESS! Works like a charm. B-E-A-UITFUL!

Not every repair goes off without a hitch. Deep breath, double check your work, even if you KNOW you did it right the first time. Troubleshoot, troubleshoot, troubleshoot. Then make the call. Sometimes its just the part.
