Riss zunähen

  • Nähe den Riss soweit zu, dass keine Federn mehr herausfallen können, z. B. mit dem Überwendlich- oder dem Hexenstich. Ich habe den Hexenstich genommen, weil er schön flach ist.

  • Diese Naht muss nicht super schön sein, nachher wird sowieso noch ein Flicken drübergenäht. Sie dient nur dazu, den Riss zu stabilisieren, sodass er nicht größer wird und sich der Flicken sauber und glatt annähen lässt.

Stitch the tear shut

Stitch the tear shut so no more feathers can fall out, for example with an overcast or a herringbone stitch. I used the latter as it stays nice and flush.

This stitch doesn’t have to be super pretty, you will be covering it with the patch anyways. Its purpose is only to stabilize the tear so it doesn’t get bigger and the patch can stay clean and flush to the pillow
