Disassemble all of the parts. This includes: water tank, lid, K-cup holder, and both pieces of the tray where the coffee cup sits.

You should not need a screwdriver for this. All of the parts you are disassembling are easily removable by hand.

Wash all of the parts in warm, soapy water. Dry well.
