Before doing anything else, disconnect the battery flex cable and remove the battery to avoid any possible short circuits when undoing the rest of the flex cables.

The battery can be tricky to remove, but with a tiny bit of heat (careful) and a plastic prying tool the battery should come off without too much struggling.
