Power off the laptop and wait 20 minutes before beginning disassembly.

Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove thirteen 8.5 mm screws from the bottom of the laptop.

Using the same screwdriver, remove the two 3.2 mm screws and slide the DVD drive out of the laptop.
