How to put an iPod Classic into Debug mode

Press down on the Center and Menu buttons until the iPod restarts.

If your iPod is dead, plug it in and make sure the Hold Switch located on top of the device is in the unlocked position.

When you do this, it's important to restart into the iPod's default OS.
