    • Turn off the sewing machine and unplug it.

    • Insert the new needle with the flat side (the side with the numbers) facing the back of the sewing machine. Tighten the clamp screw by turning it toward the back.

    • Put the presser foot back on by pushing the back lever up and guiding the bar on the presser foot onto the hook of the needle bar. Release the lever to secure.

Once the pressure foot is attached, thread the needle before plugging in the sewing machine and turning it on.
