where do we get the display adhesive and the speaker mesh?

Worked well for screen replacement, but guide advised removal of the speaker grills. New screen did not include new speaker grills :(

Yea, there’s some missing info.

I wanted to do a battery replacement. Ifixit and MSFT don’t have the battery, so I got an aftermarket battery.

A rep from ifixit said their kit wasn’t available, but she listed what I’d need. I bought all that but then it turns out I’ll also need:

- 4IP Torx bit

- Metallic or thermal tape + foam

- PSA - the double sided tape to reattach the screen (either a roll of 1 mm + a roll of 2 mm, or a custom precut set for $30.)

And maybe other things.

The MSFT video instructions don’t tell you about replacing the thermal paste or metallic tape. MSFT written instructions say you can’t reuse the thermal module, but that’s not what’s shown in the video, nor do others have that limitation. MSFT written instructions also refer to a spring gasket, but I dont see how that’s affected by battery replacement. There also a suggestion that you’re supposed to destroy the existing speaker grills and replace them; but they’re not included in the battery kit list;I don’t know why you’d want to destroy.
