Background
The iHome company is a division of SDI technologies that was founded in 2005. iHome became the number one brand in the iPod electronics market in its first year in large part due to the iHome iH8BR. The iH8BR was iHome's first product out the door and helped shape the iPod speaker industry. Today, the iHome remains the number one selling iPod speaker company in North America.
This particular model is distinguished by dual speakers, two scroll wheels similar to those found on the original ipods, four rows of buttons on top, a radio/alarm clock interface, and an iPod dock. It can be powered by two AA batteries, or by a specialized AC adapter.
Identification
To identify your device, check the bottom face of the device. There should be a sticker near the center with "iHome" printed in the top left corner, and "Model: iH8BR" on the top right corner.
