iHome won't turn on

No matter what you do, you can't get your iHome to turn on.

Dead Batteries

Your batteries might be in the wrong orientation or out of power. Unplug the power adapter and flip over the device. Open the battery compartment and take out the batteries. Put them back inside making sure the batteries are in the correct orientation matching the diagram on the bottom of the battery compartment. If the iHome still doesn't work, you have to check if the batteries have power. Put the batteries in another device to see if they power the other device. If the batteries are dead then you can put in new batteries.

Bad Power Adapter

Take out batteries but leave power adapter plugged in, then check if the iHome has power. If the iHome has lost power then the problem could be the power adapter or motherboard. Borrow a power adapter that you know works and replace it with yours. If you have the same problem with the new adapter, then you may have a damaged motherboard. If your iHome now turns on then replace your power adapter.

iHome does not respond to remote

The iHome itself is functioning, but the remote won't do anything.

iPod fits onto adapter but, neither your iHome or iPod respond.

Problem with iPod

Either the radio or iPod says it is playing music but there is no sound.

Broken Circuit Board
