How to remove trigger assembly
I couldn't find a step-by-step repair guide for removing the trigger assembly on the Bosch 4310 in the iFixit knowledge base, but I found relevant repair information elsewhere on the web.
Safety First: Always unplug the miter saw from the power source before servicing any electrical components or opening the handle housing.
To access and remove the trigger assembly:
- Remove Handle Covers: Unscrew and remove all screws securing the switch handle halves together, then gently pry the cover apart 1.
- Document Wiring: Take a clear photograph of the internal wiring and switch connections before touching anything so you can reference how everything goes back together 1.
- Disconnect Wires: Carefully disconnect the wire connectors from the electrical switch and trigger components 1.
- Remove Assembly: Lift the trigger, switch, and any associated return springs out of the handle housing.
Reassembly is performed in reverse order 1.
