Is it possible to replace flex cable without complete disassembly
So I bought a secondhand Zflip5 for about 60$ and everything except the flex cable connecting the two halves works fine. When I fold the phone it cuts the power and the slightest movement would cause this to happen. Pretty positive that the flex cable is broken as hooking up a temporary cable outside the hinge fixed this. However, judging from the repair videos i found, to replace this cable you first have to completely disassemble everything including the screen, hinge, and the motherboard, and I highly suspect I'll mess up and damage the screen, which is now worth more than the whole device in where I live.
Has anyone successfully replaced the flex cable without tearing down the whole device or might know what I can try? thanks in advance!
