Replacing inner screen protector?

The best tool to replace a screen protector are the Heavy-Duty Suction Cups as their awesome heavy-duty suction really will take screen protectors off. Here is a method for replacing the screen protector.

1. Place a heavy duty suction cup on the screen.
2. Place a Plastic Card on the gap presented by the suction cup.
3. Use your fingers to pry up the extra part of the gap.

Replacing the factory inner screen protector on a Galaxy Z Flip 6 is definitely doable at home without an official Samsung store, but you must treat the folding screen with extreme care so you do not puncture the Ultra Thin Glass (UTG) underneath.

1. Buy the Right Kit First

Do not use stiff PET or tempered glass—they cannot handle the repeated folding radius and will crack or pull away immediately.

Purchase a flexible TPU / EPU folding screen protector kit that includes an alignment jig/tray (such as the Whitestone Dome GEN Film or Ringke Dual Easy Film made specifically for the Z Flip 6). The alignment frame pegs into the bottom USB-C port so the crease flexes in the exact center.

2. Safe Removal (Never Use Metal or Fingernails)

Never use tweezers, razor blades, or metal pry tools. Even slight pressure from metal or a fingernail will permanently puncture the OLED panel, causing black ink spots or colored vertical lines.

If the protector has already started lifting at the hinge crease, slide the clean corner of a sheet of printer paper or an index card underneath the lifted flap.

If it is not lifting yet, press a piece of clear packing tape or Scotch tape onto an outer corner and pull the tape upwards to lift the edge.

Peel the film backward at a flat, 180-degree angle. Do not yank it straight up toward the ceiling.

3. Dust-Free Installation Steps

1. The Steam Trick: Take the phone into the bathroom, close the door, and run a hot shower for 2–3 minutes. The humidity will knock floating airborne dust particles down to the floor so they do not get trapped under the new film.

2. Clean Gently: Clean the bare folding screen strictly using a dry, lint-free microfiber cloth. Do not soak the bare folding screen in rubbing alcohol or liquid cleaners.

3. Align & Squeegee: Snap the phone into the alignment jig. Peel Tab 1, use the included squeegee to push the film down starting smoothly from the crease outward toward the top, and repeat for Tab 2 toward the bottom.

4. Push Out Bubbles: Use the microfiber cloth wrapped around the squeegee card to gently push any remaining tiny air pockets out toward the sides.

Once installed, leave the phone open and unfolded flat for 1 to 2 hours so the pressure-sensitive adhesive can cure fully before you start opening and closing the hinge.
