The third revision of the classic Xbox Wireless Controller was released in November 2020, bundled with the Xbox Series X and Series S. This controller is backwards compatible with previous Xbox One consoles, and PCs.

My Xbox One X wireless controller will not stay connected to my Xbox.

Does your xbox stay connected to another xbox controller ?
Does your controller work with a USB cable ?
Can you test with another battery pack / new AA batteries ? Might be a low power issue
