Hi!

Can you post some pictures about the cable this is ripped? And also about the dock?

Little side note: A dock for the Switch 1 won't be compatible with the Switch 2.

just added those photos

It's the ribbon cable for the USB C connector that connects to the motherboard that lives inside Dock

Hi!

Thanks for the pictures!

Yes, this one is regarding the Switch 2 dock.

Unfortunately there are no parts available yet for this one (as far as I looked it up).

The easiest way is to buy a broken Switch dock 2 and get the cable from there...

There is not much to do at the moment, unfortunately :(. Buying a new dock is possible, but expensive. If you do so, please keep your dock so you can repair it later with a new cable.

Sorry for the bad news...

That's about the same as what my research came up with.

I'll try to keep an eye out for broken parts like suggested.

I'm pretty new to repairing but I'm honestly a little surprised that these cables aren't a little more standardized?

I know they can do vastly different things but it would be nice to have some sort of common cable or plug to use for replacements.

Yeah, unfortunately no parts are available for the Switch 2 dock yet.

No, most of the brands are using their own unique parts. Nintendo defintely don't want to use universal parts (even all the docks are having unique parts)...
