@scott71512 we need to know what model your TV is. If the power LED is not on when you plug your TV in and you get no sign of live, it is possible that this is a power board issue. Of course, check your outlet and your power cable first.

Is the red light supposed to be on, what does the television manual say?
On my samsung the red light is only on when I am watching TV. And off when it is off, and plugged in.
