Hello! I'm wondering if the charging port on an Apple Ipad Air Gen 3 can be changed or is it hardwired to the motherboard? I have an Ipad that is difficult to charge, the cord has to be propped up in the just the right orientation. I'd like to change out just the charging port if possible.

it is soldered to the logic board, every one of the gold coloured pads need soldered

Like @tech_ni said, the charging port is soldered to the logic board. You can try carefully cleaning the charging port. Apple will also clean your charging port free of charge no matter the age of the device.
(I know that the point of these forums are to avoid going to Apple or the OEM, but in cases of charging issues that could be fixed by cleaning it is best to take it to Apple. They do it for free anyways.)
