Can this Mac be anodized?
I'm fairly interested In anodizing, and had done it on several of my aluminum pens. I no longer needed the Mac and was wondering whether I can make the thing interesting. Can anyone tell me whether this Mac already have protective layers or it's just plain aluminum? By the way, my Mac was silver, so it seemed to be just bare aluminum, but Apple might have applied a protective layer and I don't want to dip the casing into the solution and potentially mess it up before I'm certain it can be done. Huge thanks.
UPDATE: Now I know that there's indeed a protective layer on the casing, can applying the acidic solution without electricity actually remove the layer? Or do I have to grind the thing with sandpaper to remove it? Still hopeful that I can have a green Mac.
