Why is my External HDD not working properly
While, I Installed some files directly to my external HDD
It was buffering and file extraction is not done by my External HDD

Here's a link that describes how to test the HDD to see if it is OK etc.
Take note of the Chkdsk disclaimer, regarding possible data loss if you select to try and repair any bad sectors
