Right hinge is broken, can I replace screen with A1398 Early 2013?

Hello,

Thanks so much for the help.

So right hinge of my Mac 1398 Mid-2015 is broken and unfortunately is the one connected to the webcam and other cables (which I do not want to remove).

See the photos.

So I am thinking of changing the display, but my question is:

which model is compatible with the display?

I suspect that some displays are equal (A1398), but the cables are different. Can you help?

The A1398 covers a very large range of systems, sadly there are bumps along the road here as not all of the share the same parts or assemblies

I have already seen this answer but unfortunately, my hinge is broken (cut in 2 pieces), so my only option is to change it or solder but to be honest I can remove it from screen, so solder the hinge can be very very difficult

@mirkounchained - Sadly soldering or welding won't fix this. You need a new hinge but as its hard to find the better answer is to find a junker which has a good lid assembly and if needed transfer your display over to the other frame.

So I have updated my "question" with photos.

The hinge is the right one which is connected to the Webcam (I think and the Wifi Bar), you can remove the WiFi bar, but after that, there is the webcam cable inside the display.

So it is really complicated.

But since there are many A1398 I would like which display is compatible with mine. Thanks.

@mirkounchained - the red circled part is the camera which is mounted in the lid top bezel area. Give this a review MacBook Pro Retina Display Teardown it’s a bit of a job and you do need to be working in a good dust free area and be careful with the defuser sheets as any creases will show up as dark lines.
