• hold down the Volume Down + Power button at teh same time for 7 seconds. RElease teh buttons when your phone vibrates.
• You phone should now restart.

If that does not work ty to safe it in safe mode. Follow the instructions from here

1. Completely power off the phone
2. Turn the phone on and when the Samsung logo appears, press and hold the Volume down button.
3. If done correctly, "Safe mode" will display on the bottom left corner of the screen. If "Safe mode" does not appear, repeat the previous steps.

Once you're in Safe mode, try your keyboard and see if it now works normal. If it does then teh issues are caused by third party apps. You will have to remove those.

Of course, you could also factory reset your phone and see if that resolved the issues. The will set up your phone like it was when you first bought it. Careful since it will delete all of your files, pictures, SMS, contacts etc. Make sure that you have everything backed up and that you have your Google password as well as all the passwords to go into your phone. You will need that since you you otherwise will be locked out of your phone. To do a factory reset follow the instructions ffrom Samsung

If it still doesn't work then the issues could be a faulty touch screen For that you would have to replace the complete display assembly. Since iFixit does not yet have a guide for that use something like this video or the one from here Display assemblies are readily available at many online stores.

While you work on your phone, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit. That will help the next person that has the same problem as you do.
