will not fully open
Has gradually become worse. Hinge doesn't fully open. Must have something blocking it. How do I get it out?

You might have an issue with the hinge. The hinge could've gotten dirty or the hinge could've broke though I wouldn't recommend trying to fix it yourself, those displays are extremely fragile. Do NOT try to force it open, the display can get damaged, instead take it to a technician or Samsung themselves.
