Hey, have checked the voltages, all seem okay, also the flickering stops with just the right hand side buffer board disconnected. Not sure if this helps with the diagnosis though
I cannot see any physical damage.

@lucasblackhurst on of the ribbon cables look different. I assume it is just a shadow of some sort.
@lucasblackhurst yeah, looks like bad driver board. You could try a Tape-Off.......

Yeah, the sun was coming in through the window and has reflected off of it. 😜
Just an update, swapped out the main board and still the same issue. Must be related to the driver board, guessing there is not a lot that can be done in terms of DIY for this?
Yeah, that's what I have gone for, picture is not too bad, got a couple of small black lines at base of the screen but all in all completely usable. Thanks

@lucasblackhurst "the flickering stops with just the right hand side buffer board" any damaged components on the driver boards that you can see? Check the connector for anything charred etc? Post some images. You'll have to post it as an answer since iFixit does not allow pictures in comments.
