Dog bite during rescue

So, I work for a rescue and recently had a mastiff try to bite me. Instead of me he managed to get my phone in my jacket pocket. Needless to say big dog bigger problem, the lcd is obliterated with no Siri or touch function. The phone was not backed up as I found out later. I have tried everything to unlock the blinking inky screen I could so I can back it up. Any advice or suggestions? I can mirror it to my tv but it’s just black.

Besides the screen smashed was the back punctured as well?

Replacing the screen maybe all that’s needed, the compression has likely shorted out the logic which is why you can’t get a response from the phone. I’m afraid you’ll need to open the phone up to inspect the damage.
