Hi @steve47649

It could be there's a problem with the water level pressure sensor or the water pressure hose that connects to it from the bottom of the tub.

As the water enters the tub it also rises in the hose and this increases the air pressure on the pressure sensor that is connected to the other end of the hose. When the water reaches the level selected on the control panel i.e. amount of air pressure detected = desired water level, the water inlet solenoid valve is turned off and the washer starts the wash cycle.

Here's the tech sheet for the washer.

Enter the diagnostic test mode as described in the sheet - see p.2 Activating Service Mode and check if any error codes are being displayed. The error codes and their meanings are shown on p.8 → p.10.

Check if you get an F3 E2 Pressure System Fault code. On p.8 it shows what to check.

if you don't get any error code perform Test #6 Water level anyway see p.18.

Hopefully the pressure hose (part #WP353244) is the problem i.e. pinched, kinked, plugged, or leaking air and it is not the transducer (pressure sensor) which is located on the control board (part #W11419171) as you would have to replace the control board and it isn't cheap.

Note: Your control board may have part #W11266006 printed/labelled on it but it is no longer available and has been replaced by the board with the part number I listed above.

Here's a none too steady video that shows how to access the control board in Maytag top load washers (don't know if it is your model but it looks like it or a similar one) where the pressure hose can be seen connected to the board. Stop the video at 1:34 minutes to see the clear plastic tube connected the board.

If either part is faulty and needs to be replaced, search online for the part number only to find suppliers that suit you best.

I did the pressure check and it went to 55 and went down after than with no visible water.

When I was doing the checks the little hour glass would spin but would never stop and test.

I had to stop the tests myself. Any thoughts?

No visible water might during the test might be OK and the pressure check going up and down also.

See Test #6 Water level checks on p.18 as I suggested.

Yes Sir, did the number 6 on page 18. No codes in machine after I cleared them, will not max fill also, some of the tests won’t work

@steve47649

Just clarifying that some tests in Service Diagnostics → Component Activation mode (test cold water/hot water) and Sensor Feedback (test Water Level Pressure sensor) don't work as described?

If so maybe test the main control board as described in TEST #1: Main Control (ACU) on p.15 to make sure that all the voltage values are OK

Now for being weird! I did every test and even did the calibrations. The max fill wasn’t working so I decided to load the washer up with towels and select quick wash and high fill, to my surprise everything worked perfectly!

When that was done I left the towels in the washer and selected heavy duty, extra power and left it on high fill, worked perfectly!

Tomorrow I’m going to try the max fill and see if that works.

Thanks for all your help through this endeavor, although the wife went and bought a Speed Queen!!
