I am working on a person's iMac, but I am stumped. The right side of the screen glows fine, but the left side, not so much. It also looks like there is a bend in the middle, like if there was a bent light reflector.

Shine a light from a flashlight onto the dark side of the screen. If there is an image but faint, the backlight of the LCD is failing on one side and needs to be replaced. If the backlight is not the problem, make sure the LCD is securely connected to the logic board.
