@carloshenri4163 there is a bit more to this then that "reset to factory conditions may be necessary." What happens when your have a failed firmware update is that only part of the old firmware gets overwritten. So when you turn your camera on and the EEPROM reads the firmware, it will fail within milliseconds. You camera pretty much becomes useless with the firmware. A hard reset will not be possible since it would be part of the Firmware, but you could try it anyway.
This is usually something that only Nikon can fix because you will need an IC programmer to repair this. Since this is a Nikon, and Nikon does NOT support independent repair, you will have to deal with them.
