I’m glad to hear that your phone got fixed, but I’m sorry that you can’t remember your password. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to reset your password and still have everything on your phone without bringing it to a shop again. The only way to unlock your phone if you forgot your password is to perform a factory reset, which will erase all your data and settings. This is a security measure to prevent unauthorized access to your device.

However, before you do that, you may want to try some of these options:

  • If you have set up Samsung Find My Mobile on your phone, you can use it to remotely unlock your device. You will need to log in to your Samsung account from another device and select Unlock my screen. This will remove the lock screen password from your phone. You can find more details on how to use this feature here.
  • If you have enabled Smart Lock on your phone, you may be able to unlock it without entering a password. Smart Lock can keep your device unlocked when it’s in a trusted place, near a trusted device, or when it recognizes your voice or face. You can find more information on how to set up and use Smart Lock here.
  • If you have backed up your phone data to Google Drive, Samsung Cloud, or another service, you may be able to restore it after the factory reset. You will need to log in to the same account that you used for the backup and follow the instructions on the screen. You can find more information on how to backup and restore your phone data here.

If none of these options work for you, then you will have to factory reset your phone. There are different ways to do this depending on the situation:

  • If you can access the Settings menu on your phone, go to General management > Reset > Factory data reset and tap Reset.
  • If you can’t access the Settings menu, but you can turn off your phone, press and hold the Volume Up and Power buttons together until the Samsung logo appears, then release them. This will boot your phone into recovery mode. Use the Volume buttons to navigate and the Power button to select Wipe data/factory reset. Confirm by selecting Yes.
  • If you can’t turn off your phone or access the recovery mode, you can use Google Find My Device from another device. Log in to the same Google account that you used on your phone and select Erase device. This will remotely wipe all your data and settings from your phone.

You can find more details and video tutorials on how to factory reset your Samsung Galaxy A12 here, here, and here.

I hope this helps you unlock your phone. Please be careful with your password in the future and make sure to set up some backup options in case you forget it again. Have a nice day! 😊
