Fingerprint not working in my mobile

@samsunga5078678 the very first thing is, what was already addressed. Cleaning the sensor surfaces. Also, make sure that you do not have a screen protector, or that your screen protector is compatible with your reader. Next, you need to check your software. Make sure that you have the latest update for your software. You can check in the Settings under the About Device tab. There will be a message if an update is available. Try to set your sensitivity in the Settings>Display>Touch Sensitivity menu

If that is good, you can try and clear your Cache while going into recovery mode. Turn off your phone. Then press and hold the power and volume down button depressed until the Android logo pops up. Once the green Android logo displays, let go of the buttons. You should now see the Recovery screen menu. Use the Volume button and move to Wipe Cache Partition and press the Power button to select this option. Once your cache is cleared, press the power button again to restart your phone.

After that, you can try a Factory reset to see if that works for your fingerprint sensor. Make sure you have all your pictures/music etc. backed up. Those WILL get deleted in a hard reset. MAKE A BACKUP!

Now, if your fingerprint sensor does not even show up in the biometric settings, you know there is a hardware issue with the reader. For that you would need to replace the fingerprint sensor flex. Use something like this video. You can also find some good written instructions on here They are in French but browser like Chrome etc. do a great job of translating it.

You can find a replacement scanner flex at many online places. Just select a vendor to your liking.

While you work on your phone, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit. That will help the next person that has the same problem as you do. Try removing your fingerprints and re set them back up. It has got worse since the last upgrade. had this phone since December and it has always been problematic. also you could be make 2 fingerprint you shouldn't do it, phone can find 2 fingerprint
