Based on what you have explained, I believe I found where the spring came from. You can see the spring if you go to Step 14 on the PlayStation 4 Slim Disk Drive Replacement.

What were you trying to replace or get at? It might give us an idea of where you were and where the part came from. I will say that it looks like the spring from the top of the disk drive assembly, but I won't know for sure until we get more details.
