Screen is faded except a frame around the outside

Model number 43S434-CA

The display on my TCL Android TV is dim/faded/grey, except around the edge of the display in a consistent frame where the display remains sharp. The dim display is consistent on all inputs. I have reset the TV, restored all picture settings, unplugged power and all devices. I tried adjusting the aspect ratio and expanded the edges of the display but the dim faded area and the sharp frame remained consistent.

Thanks for the quick answers! I’ve updated the post with some photos The first photo shows the “sharp border” where the colours are not faded and the centre of the screen that has become faded.

@cole67623 this "dim/faded/grey" is most commonly caused by a bad T-con board (it can also be the LCD panel). More precisely it is the Gamma IC on the T-con board. Look slike your TV does not have a separate T-con board but it is integrated with the main board. That makes it more complicated since schematics are not available.The other thing you can do, is to post some pictures of what your Screen shows you. Then take the back cover of your TV and take some good pictures of your boards as well. In particular take some really good pictures of the main board. That way we can see what you see.
