Sharp 40BJ3K no picture or sound

@shirleyannmills since I do not see any schematics or manuals for your Sharp TV verify the model number for us. Not saying you are wrong but just wanting to make sure. Anyhow, the next thing you want to do is to remove the back cover. Unplug your power cord for that. With the cover removed, do a visual inspection and check for anything that may look "different" Missing components, charred components, leaking capacitors etc. are all things to look out for. If all of that looks okay you will need to test the voltage to the main board on the power supply. Since we do not have schematics, we will need you to post some good pictures of your boards with your question. That way we can see what you see and hopefully guide you further.
