Short story: Phone came in contact with some ice tea, screen is working, touchscreen and fingerprint not.
I already tried the standard stuff + replaced the display, but nothing has changed.
My idea: The cable that connects display, mb and usb took some damage.
Could that be the reason?

@milfie sounds to me like the ice tea encounter may actually have shortened things out. Just use the Samsung flowcharts to at least narrow it down

@milfie Samsung phones always seem to take a hit on the daughter board. I would check on that. Sure, if you think the cable is damaged (How?) replace it as well. The ice tea may cause corrosion if not properly cleaned but would otherwise not damage the cable. My first part is the daughter board.

@milfie what do you consider "the standard stuff"? Let us know what happened with the ice tea and how you approached tat.

@oldturkey03 Well...i went with some friends to the amusement park. Because I didn't want to carry everything in my handy, i put the ice tea and my phonetogether in the backpack. When I checked my phone again, i recogniced the bottle of ice tea wasn't closed completely and about 300 ml were missing. At first, my phone flashed a bit. A few minutes later, it worked comepletely how it should, except for the touchscreen and the fingerprint.
I restarted it about a hundred times, used rice to dry it, used safe mode and completely changed the display, but nothing worked.

On the right upper end it looks kinda damaged to me.

Pic is too blurry I’m afraid. If you think it’s bad then buy a new one, worth a try and cheap enough to buy.
