Sony Bravia KDL-48R550C 6 blink problem

I was gifted this TV because it has the 6 blink problem but I was told it also had a slight contrast difference on one third of the display.

I'm just wondering if replacing the board (A206695 1C) would fix these problems or is there some other things I should check?

I'll also note that when I turn on the display with the back panel off the back light does seem fairly even through the few cutouts for the couple of seconds that it is on.

Curtis Finch the 6 blink code is a backlight error and most commonly related to a bad B-Board (main board) which is the board you are referring to. Your TV appears to also use a backlight inverter which is part number Sony 1-866-359-14 (H041801186 E14)which would be my prime suspect if it were not for the contrast issue. Post some good pictures of your boards with your QUESTION. You will have to edit your QUESTION and then use this guide Adicionar imagens a uma pergunta já existente to add images.

I've added pictures of the board I could access. The inverter board sends to be behind the metal frame so I'm still trying to get to it.

Are the voltage check to be done on the main board or the inverter board?

@Curtis Finch should be on the power board but see where you can find CL9000 and 9003. If you can, let us know what the power board number is. We'll try and see if there are any schematics for it.

@oldturkey03 this tv doesn't have a power board, just an external brick.

@Curtis Finch just got the service manual for it. The components should be on the mainboard and no schematics available for that. So with the change in contrast, the 6 blinks and no schematic available it might be best just to go ahead and change the board, The backlight driver board would not be a cause for bad contrast.
