Laser Head Cleaning Method
What is the proper method for manually cleaning the laser head when a cleaning disc cannot do the job? (dvd disc skips)

Depending on the player I would clean the rails and the screw which moves the head. Use a can of can'ed air to blow the debris out you might find a small soft paint bush is only needed to loosen the junk.

What about the lens itself; can you use isopropyl alcohol with a cotton applicator?
