Battery not recognized by MacBook Pro after update to Monterey

I replaced my battery with an iFixit battery in Dec 2021. Worked reliably for many months. Now, after updating MacOS to Monterey, battery is not recognized at all. Thus, the battery doesn't charge and I can only operate the computer with it plugged in. If I accidentally dislodge the MagSafe connector the machine just shuts off.

I have tried resetting SMC. No joy.

CoconutBattery can't see the battery either.

Do you think the replacement would be covered by a warrantee on the battery?

@barry - I can't tell you that. Review your paperwork as some countries have a two year product warranty.

Thanks, Dan. Battery replacement was covered by warranty. iFixit sent me a new battery, which I installed yesterday. Seems to be working fine.

Does iFixit want the old battery back, or should I just dispose of it properly?
