2013 and 2015 screen compatibility

hello, I recently acquired a 2015 MacBook pro for cheap. it had no ssd or charger and a damaged screen. I currently have also a 2013 MacBook pro with a screen that works properly, could I use the screen from my 2013 and install it on the 2015? both are 15” retina displays

Sorry you can’t, the displays between these series use different signaling. While both are similar in its connections the 2013 uses iDP while the 2015 uses eDP signaling.

I did the same thing. Is that why the screen is so dark. (I have to use the flashlight to see the screen) everything else works fine.
