shut it down one day, and then I couldn’t turn it back on

So, I’ve had pretty much the same problem. My laptop was working perfectly fine, I shut it down one day, and then i couldn’t turn it back on. Here is what has worked for me. I’ve tried keeping it charging for multiple days and that doesn’t help at all, but if i leave it without charging and come back to it like a week later, it turns on perfectly fine like nothing has happened. What has worked every time is opening up the back of the laptop and removing the cable that connects the battery to the motherboard. I disconnect it, reconnect it, and everything works fine again. I don’t know what the actual cause for the problem is, but it seems the only way to reset it is to completely drain the battery down to 0% or disconnect the battery. Holding down the power button for 15 seconds doesn’t always work, but has a few times. At this point, I’m just going to buy a new battery for it and hopefully this will fix it altogether.
