1 Why are clothes still wet after cycle
after wash cycle clothes still wet and fabric softener is still present in middle of agitator, have to which over to drain and spin cycle to get rest of water out of the clothes

What is the model number of the washer?
Do you mean that the washer doesn't automatically step past the wash cycle and onto the rinse cycle etc?

Model number wtw4800xq2, its like it’s not washing properly and clothes are soaking wet and I have to switch to “drain and spin” then it spins and drains water out of clothes

Does the timer knob (wash/rinse /spin cycle selector) advance on its' own, you didn't say?
If not it may be a timer problem.

Yes it advances on its own all the way through, just doesn’t seem to be doing each step properly

You said that it drains and spins, can you hear if it agitates as well or not during the wash cycle and also during the rinse cycle?
