iPhone 3G

Second generation of iPhone. Model A1241 / 8 or 16 GB capacity / black or white plastic back. Repair is more straightforward than the first iPhone. requires screwdrivers, prying, and suction tools.

iPhone Camera Shutter problem.

I have a problem with my iphone camera. I can open the app but the shutter does not open. it has a knock-off camera. Its a bit bigger than the original one. i have to scrape the back case to let it fit.

Ive check the connections of the camera to the board. No corrosion or anything..

Also, Im using IOS 4.1, i cannot upgrade it to 4.2.1 my BB is 6.15.. i dont like to use a CFW..

Opções

most times if it only shows the shutter then it is connection or camera not software. either replace (you may even have a 3gs camera instead of 3g hence why it doesn't fit-I'm not 100% but I don't think you can swap them) or redo connections again.

app opens and shows shutter whether camera is installed or not, so that isn't a good guide for whether it's software or not. I think you have wrong/faulty camera. Buy another 3G camera and try that..I think the tell tale here is that what you bought didn't fit!
