Static sound in speakers?

Hello everyone, I replaced a charging port on an i-pad mini 1, I removed the battery and the left speaker but left the right speaker insatlled. Upon partial assembly, just having the digitizer, front panel and battery plugged in without the digitizer backplate on, there is a staic sound coming from the speakers. Probably one of the taped areas I uncovered and didnt re-tape, any ideas?
