Computer is over heating. At first it had a Very loud grinding sound

alnut 60 going by your description of things I would suggest that for now you stop using your computer. you will have to disassemble it and take a look at the components installed. For now since you had that noise as well as the overheating , you want to check the fan and possibly replace it. The only other part that can make a “nasty” grinding noise is a failed hard drive but that would cause your computer to not start up into any operating system. Again. Open it up and take a good look. you can always come back and clarify and explain to us what you find out. something like this should help you out.
