Why is my keyboard inputting multiple letters?

So i've been having this problem where if I push Shift + any key it repeats that key and i'm not sure why. Sticky keys, and repeated keys are turned off so i'm unsure of what the problem is.

The keyboard is fairly new, about one month (almost two) old, haven't spilled anything on the keys either.

This issue has only occured today and i've attempted multiple things like uninstalling/updating the keyboard drivers, restarting my pc, and changing the usb slot the keyboard is plugged into.

Here's an example of what I mean: https://i.imgur.com/DSdcSHS.gifv

Also, I would like to mention this doesn’t happen normally when typing, it only occurs when I push shift + any key, ctrl + any key, alt + any key, and apparently holding tab acts as if i’m spamming it multiple times.

HI, ,

Your link is not working. At leastnot inmyPC.

Here's how to add images in ifixit

Try using a USB keyboard, plugged into the computer, to check if the problem is with the keyboard or the computer.

It's an issue with the keyboard apparently, i've tried another keyboard and it doesn't have the same issue. I'm not sure if there's an option to make it do that with like shortcut keys or something. It's a blackweb centaur btw :P

Solução escolhida

Hi,

Did you check the user manual to see if there are any keyboard options at all?

Check for a stuck key i.e. half operated position perhaps.

With the computer turned off, press every key on the keyboard a couple of times each, to check that they move up and down without hesitation.

After this turn on the computer and check if the problem is still there.

If it is, since it is a relatively new keyboard and you say that there has been no spills or that anything else untoward has happened to it (no food crumbs by any chance?) then it should still be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.

Check the warranty provisions that came with the keyboard (maybe look in the user manual for them) to find out what to do to make a claim for a manufacturer’s warranty repair or replacement.

I solved the issue, I took my keyboard apart to clean it and everything and it didn't help the issue. The issue was the keyboard had combination of keys that changed it from 30WPM to 60WPM and it caused it to repeat keys. The solution was FN+Q
