XR Screen Replacement Issues

So, I recently broke my XR digitizer, so I bought one from eBay (probably wrong place to get one) but my buddy has had great success with this particular seller, so I bought one, touch doesn’t work, after 3 replacements with no touch, I bought one from that was taken off an XR, so it was oem, same issue. I took the one off my wife’s XR, and it worked perfectly, any ideas? Hopefully I’m not the only one with this issue!

Also ive done everything from reseating the connectors, hard resetting the phone, factory restoring, updating it to latest iOS!

hi i repier iPhones just a Tip never buy any parts from eBay if your going to buy the screens for any iPhone get theme from fix it with all tools including they all come with your repair

Yes,Thats the right answer i agree. iFixit team is best.In my experience that is the issues of connector or some parts near touch connector.

@evillord0011 this “I took the one off my wife’s XR, and it worked perfectly” actually answers your question. Since it does work with a OEM screen the issue is most likely bad replacements. Anything else, like a bad connector etc., would have also affected the screen from your wife’s phone. It looks like you have to bite the bullet and get Apple to get your phone a new screen.

I don't see why not. At this point I'd at least give it a try. I just thought of something. Why not try a screen from iFixit? They have great quality assurance and only sell high quality parts. I'd give them a try as well.

Apple refuses all service if they find any unauthorized repairs.
