I have a 40 inch Sony Bravia LCD. It’s about 8 yrs old and always worked great. Now it has one thin black line vertically down the middle of the screen. Anyone know how I can fix it without paying more than the tv is worth?

detbondguy a single line is most commonly caused by a TAB error. Simply put, loose connection of where the ribbon cable from the screen enters the scree. We would need to know your exact model number and if possible post a picture of what your screen displays with your question.
