Is there any way to make a clear back on my own?
Is there any way to make the back clear, or is the back metal cover not removable?

As for making it clear not much to see other than the base metal panel. You could find a few different colored units thats about it.

Hi, I don't know if I clarified fully, but I want to know how to remove the back metal panel off of the phone.
Review the guide I linked to. As far as leaving it off, not very smart as its part of the structural strength of the case.
