How do I get to my keyboard?
My tablet only answers to voice I cannot get my keyboard to work.

Are you referring to the software keyboard? Try going to Settings > Language & Input > and choosing your default keyboard.
Update (01/09/2019)
So follow this link and install Swiftkey Keyboard. After installing, go to your app drawer and click on the Swiftkey icon and follow the instructions to set it to your default input method. That should fix it for you.
